I got a DS Lite this weekend, and it’s been a blast. Been playing some Brain Age and Big Brain Academy with Aaron today, the ease of connecting to share games is fantastic. Katie got a new sewing machine too, and she’s loving it. I knew there’d been advances in sewing technology, but going from a 1950’s machine to a brand new relatively high-end machine is pretty crazy - fancy stitches with hearts and loops and roses, writing names and words, and other things that got Katie excited but made no sense to me. Is that how she feels when I talk about Ruby on Rails?
Work is nuts this week, we’re having a conference with a bunch of people from around the country coming in - aside from the presentations and talks we’ll be giving there’s a barbeque tomorrow night and a boat cruise on Wednesday, taking up more of my time. Thursday is kickball and Friday is resting for Rails Day… Saturday is Rails Day, though I messed up some stuff and it should be focused on other matters, something I’ll have to take care of soon but won’t get in to here. Sunday is a day of rest, and Monday I fly to Chicago to see Radiohead Tuesday night with Neal. I’ll be back Wednesday, kickball again Thursday, and finally Friday things will settle down. It’s going to be hectic, and hopefully not too rough on everything else in life.
