I was way off… the security measures I thought I was taking on my wireless network were for nil. As it turns out, most of it was a waste of time and something that can be hacked in a matter of minutes, if not seconds. I apologize if you took my advice - I’m going to be overhauling this and setting up WPA right away so that I have something worthwhile in my attempt to protect my network. Many thanks to Aaron K. for his help with this and pointing me to some good articles that really helped me learn just why my earlier approach wasn’t going to do any good.
