My 1pm flight from Seattle to Salt Lake City was delayed today, and so I would miss my flight to Minneapolis if I took the flight, resulting in staying the night in Salt Lake City. Instead, I’m taking the red eye to Cincinnati, then flying to Minneapolis in the morning.
I have been in this airport for about 12 hours, less the time I sat on the plane next to a lady who slowly slid in to my seat until I put down the arm rest between us.
I’ve wandered the airport, had a couple free meals, even looked in every store in the faint hope that one might have a 160GB iPod classic, as it turns out that my old 3G iPod’s battery only lasts about 90 minutes.
No store had one.
The one upside is that I will get my first flight in first class tonight, though I plan to sleep through it all.
Instead of missing most of Monday, I will now be missing all of it and most of Tuesday.
I have had a lot of time to think and plan, however, and that’s been good. Now I just want my plane seat and a pillow. A blanket would work also.
