Happy Holidays

So, I’ve obviously been quite absent in writing here - shocking, I know. I’m in Sequim, Washington for a week, visiting my parents along with my brother and sister. We’ve gone to see my grandparents a few times as well.

I love having this time to spend with family and to enjoy everyone’s company and stories. We haven’t all been together since last year at this time, and who knows when it’ll happen again? We’re all getting in to other relationships now - things that could keep us from getting together as often or as easily; things that could take priority at times.

There’s an interesting level of comfort too. Talking to my parents about things in my life, I feel much more confident talking about what’s going on with me, my friends, my issues and activities that they don’t experience since they’ve moved. It’s nice and very satisfying. I know they appreciate it too.
